ALGODON WINE ESTATES INTRODUCES RED WINE SORBET TO WELCOME ARGENTINA'S SPRING
New York - August 13, 2014: Algodon Wine Estates has just introduced Bonarda Sorbet A.W.E., a homemade red-wine sorbet made from the estate's award-winning varietal wine, Bonarda. Available now at Algodon Wine Estates and its sister property in Buenos Aires, Algodon Mansion, just in time for Argentina's warmer months, the sorbet is served à la carte and as pictured in the above dish of Stewed Pear Parfait with Bonarda Sorbet A.W.E.
Bonarda is the second most widely planted grape (after Malbec) in Argentina, and Algodon Wine Estates' home of San Rafael, Mendoza offers the best climate for its growth. Produced from vines that date back over half a century, Algodon Wine Estates' Bonarda features intense aromas of dark cherry and dark chocolate with a rich and creamy texture, and is one of the estates' most popular wines. Algodon Wine Estates' vintage 2010 Bonarda was recently ranked the world's best Bonarda by the World Association of Wine & Spirit Writers' and Journalists' "Top 100 Wines of the World 2014."
